Starting the RES MARIS project

On the 30th of June 2014 was held in Cagliari, at the headquarters of the Province of Cagliari, the press conference dedicated to the launch of the project, funded under the LIFE + program, which sees the Province of Cagliari as the coordinating beneficiary, and the City of Villasimius (Capo Carbonara Marine Protected Area), the TECLA Association and the Biodiversity Conservation Center of the University of Cagliari as associated beneficiaries.

Objective of the project is the conservation and recovery of marine and terrestrial ecosystems that constitute the submerged andĀ emerged beach, in particular the priority habitats “Coastal dunes with Juniperus spp.”, “Wooded dunes with Pinus pinea and / or Pinus pinaster” and “Posidonia beds (Posidonion oceanicae)” of the DIR. 92/43 / EEC included in SCI ITB040020 “Isola dei Cavoli, Serpentara, Punta Molentis and Campulongu”.

The press conference will be followed by the first working meeting of the beneficiaries during which will take placeĀ the formal establishment of the Steering Committee of the project and the presentation of guidelines for the technical and administrative management of the project, as well as for communication actions.
